The 2018 Conference on China's Reform and Opening Up:
Structural Transformation and Economic Development
October 12-14, 2018 (Friday - Sunday)
Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China
      
The China Economic Review (CER) journal, the Institute of New Structural Economics (INSE) at Peking University, and the Center for Research of Private Economy (CRPE) and College of Economics at Zhejiang University are jointly organizing 2018 Conference on China's Reform and Opening Up: Structural Transformation and Economic Development. The conference will be held on October 12-14, 2018 at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. The aim of the conference is to mark the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up policy, present and discuss frontier research in all areas of economics related to China's and structural transformation and economic development.

Publications
Selected papers presented in the conference are eligible to be considered for publication in the China Economic Review (CER). If you wish your paper to be considered for publication in the CER, please indicate so in your email. The submission portal of the CER will be opened in December 2018, and you could submit your paper through the submission portal and choose the article type as "VSI: Reform and Opening Up" during the submission process. Note that the acceptance of a paper is not a guarantee of publication by the CER. All selected papers will go through the journal's blind review process.

Paper Submission Period: April 1, 2018 – July 31, 2018
Decision Notification Deadline: August 10, 2018
Preliminary Program Announcement: September 1, 2018
Registration Period: September 1, 2018 – September 25, 2018

Accommodation
The conference will be located in the Yuquan Campus of Zhejiang University, which is very close to beautiful West-Lake. All participants should arrange their own accommodations. Hotel booking assistance will be provided upon request.
