The Second Zhejiang-Cambridge Sustainable Development & World Economy Forum was successfully held

   The Second Zhejiang-Cambridge Sustainable Development & World Economy Forum was successfully held on August 13th to 15th, with the close collaboration between Zhejiang University and University of Cambridge. This forum was held in combination of both online and offline venues. Fortyfaculty and Ph.D. candidates from both universities took part in the conference.

 The forumwas composed of three parts. Dr. Min Li, Director of Office of Global Engagement of Zhejiang University, showed her best wishes to the close collaboration between two schools in the opening remarks. Prof. Xiwei Zhu from School of Economics, Prof Eric Levy and Prof. Alex Robinson from Judge Business Schoolspokein welcome remarks.

 In the next sessions, both Ph.D candidates from Zhejiang University and University of Cambridge made presentations on their researches. Tthey received comments on improvement from faculty on both sides.



The four keynote speakers from Judge Business School - Prof Eric Levy, Prof Nektarios (Aris) Oraiopoulos, Prof Jostein Hauge and Dr. Luning SUN gave inspiring keynote speeches in high-tech and global leadership, research skills and career development, international business management, and world economy.


 The joint forum between Zhejiang University and University of Cambridge hasenhanced the close relationship between the two schools and universities. In 2019, we had the first ZJU-Cambridge joint PhD forum at Cambridge, United Kingdom. So far, the forum has attracted 50+ ZJU PhD students to attend. The forum has been funded by the Graduate School of Zhejiang University.
